Proton Range Compensators
.decimal range compensators are available in acrylic (p ~1.17) or wax (p ~0.92). They are vendor-specific and can be machined with either a smooth or plunged surface. Smooth range comps have a less complex surface allowing more accurate modeling in TPS for better “Plan = Actual”.
Wax compensators have several advantages too. They are less expensive, have recycled value, are easier and faster to manufacture, and the lower density gives improved range sensitivity. Our Material
