A BolusECT will have a distal surface that fits to the patient’s surface and a proximal side that is optimized to deliver a dose that conforms to the distal side of the user-specified target.
There is a series of steps you will follow to create and optimize the shape of your bolus ECT. This video will show you how to manipulate some of the settings to create a bolus you are satisfied with.
The designed bolus can be exported as part of a new DICOM RT Structure Set that you will import into your TPS for dose calculation and plan analysis. Once the planned dose is acceptable, you can order the bolus.
